Victoria & Chris | Downtown Youngstown Engagement Photos | Youngstown, Oh

Spending the morning running around on Federal Street with Victoria and Chris for their early morning downtown Youngstown engagement photo session was an absolute blast. For a little while, it was like we had the entire city to ourselves. Tori and Chris had a chance to show us where they first met, and we also got a chance to take a little walk around other parts of downtown while we captured them together.
If you’ve been to downtown Youngstown recently, you might recognize some of the awesome places we were nearby. We got some cool shots in front of Odonold’s and Imbibe Martini Bar, where we were loving the colors of the storefronts along the street. Youngstown has a totally different and unique feel first thing in the morning. We had the entire street pretty much to ourselves. It was nice because it gave Tori and Chris a chance to just be themselves get comfortable in front of the camera…which took them exactly no time at all.
These two have an amazing connection. You can see it for yourself.

Stopping by "The Butler"
Samantha and I took Tori and Chris over to The Butler Institute of American Art to capture some more photos of the two of them. We told Tori and Chris early on that they have a great connection with each other. You could just see it all over each of their faces, and when two people have a natural connection like that, it just shows in the photographs.
If you get a chance, take a minute to check out The Butler’s website HERE, and go check out the museum if you’re interested in learning more about their collection of artwork, for a tour, or to view some fine American art right here locally.
As for Tori and Chris, they look absolutely timeless among the aged marble and decorative metal of the museums exterior.

So Uniquely Youngstown
Sam and I took Tori and Chris to a couple of other places downtown that photograph really well and that matched the vibe we were going for during this part of the session.
There are so many unique places in the downtown Youngstown area that are just begging to photographed, and these two look great no matter where they go.

Capturing the Connection
This next series of images is one of my favorite groups from this gallery. It shows the range and the connection that these two have, and it’s completely effortless from them both. It’s a joy to be around them both, because that energy goes into everything they say and do.
These photos remind me of the funny things Chris was saying to Tori while we were shooting. They had us cracking up.

Spending Time at Fellows
After we finished up downtown, we decided to head over to Fellows Riverside Gardens which is a part of Mill Creek Park.
Mill Creek Park, Fellows, and a long list of other gorgeous locations are nestled inside the park, and we absolutely love shooting there. It’s a hidden gem that even people that have lived nearby for most of their lives aren’t even aware that its there – and it’s HUGE.
Take a look at the Mill Creek Park website by going HERE, and you can learn more about Fellows Riverside Gardens by going HERE.
